The majority of the 5,500 graphics from the 16th to the 20th century originates in the property of the princely house of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. Part of that collection are also some hand drawings of princely persons. Graphical sheets from the 16th century, among them works of Albrecht Duerer, Erhard Schoen and Hans von Culmbach, form the most valuable inventory. The extraordinarily precious construction drawings used recently for research projects by universities and institutes, represent a special section of the inventory.
