For small and big discoverers

On a voyage of discovery with Prince Ludwig Friedrich and Princess Henriette

How long do you think it took a carriage to get from Heidecksburg to Schwarzburg Palace? And how deep is the deep well?

A »discovery pouch« for families on the history and grounds of Heidecksburg Palace is now available. The aim of the bag is to give families with children the opportunity to explore the palace and its grounds independently and in an active way. The two characters, Prince Ludwig Friedrich and his sister Princess Henriette, who lived in Heidecksburg Palace in the second half of the 18th century as children of the princes of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, have to use their intuition and powers of deduction to guide them around the castle on the basis of an orientation plan. On a route with a total of nine stations, tasks and riddles have to be solved and thus, with the help of compass, binoculars and co., life at court in earlier times can be learned.

Thanks to the financial support of the museum educational project by Energieversorgung Rudolstadt and Freundeskreis Heidecksburg e.V., five discovery bags are available for loan free of charge at the museum shop.
